Rosemary Leaf Beetles

Rosemary, lavendar, leaf, beetle, entomology centre,

Rosemary Leaf Beetles (Chrysolina americana)are urgently required for research purposes by the John Innes Centre.

First spotted at RHS Wisley in 1994 the Rosemary leaf beetle has been gradually spreading around the UK, and now the Entomolgy Unit of 'The John Innes Centre' is carrying out research into the beetle. As part of the research Dr Ian Bedford is asking for gardeners to send him their beetles.

The address for the beetles is:
Dr Ian Bedford
Entomology Unit
The John Innes Centre

The beetles should be posted in a film container or similar, with an air hole in the lid.
